Hape Kerkeling will soon be releasing his “most personal album”.

“I live the dream” is the name of the first single from Hape Kerkeling’s new album. A title made for the star’s dreamy comeback.
Hape Kerkeling (56) has released another harbinger of his musical comeback in October. His first official single from the album “Mal unter uns …”, which will be released on October 22, 2021, is called “I live the dream”.
The star describes the song with the words: “Although the thing goes so forward and really whips you out of your armchair and also drives you to dance, the music is more in a minor key and the singing always tries to counteract it.” This is exactly what he generally sees as his calling – “to make a major out of every minor.”
“My musical world”
A total of 14 songs are on “Mal unter uns …”. They are all famous hits from the Netherlands of the past 30 years, to which Kerkeling and Tobias Reitz have donated German lyrics. A first sample of the long player was released in early September with the song “Der Weg nach Haus”.
“Music has always been my great passion. That I have now recorded an album with my personal favorite songs makes me very proud,” Kerkeling revealed when the new record was announced. It is the most personal album of his life. “I let my audience into my musical world, into a world that is really very close to me.”
Comeback on all channels
The title “I live the dream” of the first single can be taken literally in view of the amazing comeback of all-rounder Hape Kerkeling. The comedian, author, presenter, actor, voice actor and singer actually retired from show business on the occasion of his 50th birthday in 2014.
In 2019 he was back in front of the camera as an actor for “Der Boandlkramer und die Ewige Liebe” (2021), before the commercial broadcaster RTL announced the big TV comeback for 2022 in March 2021. In June 2021 his book “Pfoten vom Tisch!”
