“Hape and the 7 dwarf states” will soon flicker across the screens: Kerkeling’s travel documentary will be launched in November, as Vox announced.

Hape Kerkelings (56) travel documentary “Hape and the 7 dwarf states” starts on November 21 at Vox. The broadcaster has now announced this. In seven episodes, on Sundays at 7:10 p.m., the 56-year-old becomes a travel guide: He visits the seven dwarf states of Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican.

“During the pandemic, my hunger for the stage and television suddenly increased again,” explained Kerkeling. “And after a seven-year break from TV, I had one or two ideas in my head that I wanted to realize.” He thought, “what would I actually like to do again on television”. And that included the idea for “Hape and the 7 Dwarf States”:

First to Malta

“I’ve always wanted to travel to the seven dwarf states and know how these bizarre structures managed to outlast the ages and still exist today. And that’s what we shed light on in the program – historical, satirical, informative and touristic.” To begin with, Vox and TVNow will go to Malta, where Kerkeling will meet the opera singer Joseph Calleja (43), who was born there.

In December Vox will also start another program with the entertainer: In “An Evening with Hape Kerkeling” he will read from his new book “Paws from the table! My cats, other cats and me” at the Hansa Theater in Hamburg. He answers questions from the audience and the journalist and presenter Dunja Hayali (47) and sings two songs live from his new album “Mal unter uns …”. The exact broadcast date is not yet known.
