In the foreseeable future, “Der Entertainer”, the film about Harald Juhnke, will not be released. The project has been put on hold for the time being.

The planned two-part TV series entitled “The Entertainer”, which was supposed to focus on the great career and eventful life of show master Harald Juhnke (1929-2005), is apparently on hold for the time being. The “Bild am Sonntag” wants to have found out from rbb spokeswoman Ulrike Herr. According to this, “the project ‘The Entertainer’ (…) has been postponed indefinitely”, Mr. is quoted as saying.

The broadcaster’s spokeswoman also gave a reason: “There was a script that we liked a lot, but far exceeded the financial framework.” The biopic was a planned co-production by ARD with Constantin and producer Oliver Berben (49). The original plan was to release the two-parter on time for Juhnke’s 90th birthday, which the entertainer would have celebrated on June 10, 2019. According to Mr, it is still possible to “possibly resume planning at a later point in time”.
