On March 31, 2021 Harry and Meghan should finally give up their royal patronage. But they obviously don't want that at all.

Since the "Megxit" on April 1, 2020, Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) no longer officially represent the British crown. But the patrons and the charitable work that they were given during their time as senior royals, they are allowed to continue until March 31, 2021. After that, it should be over. However, if Harry and Meghan have their way, they would obviously like to continue their work – for a whole year.

As the British tabloid "The Sun" reports, there will be a meeting of the British royals – probably held online – in January, in which Harry and Meghan will ask to extend the previously concluded deal by one year. Harry should also hope that he will get his honorary military posts back, which he lost through the "Megxit".

Netflix deal should be the main topic

But these issues don't seem to be the focus of the meeting. As the "Sun" reports, it should mainly go to the multi-million dollar deal that Harry and Meghan closed with the streaming service Netflix. Accordingly, Queen Elizabeth II (94) wants to ensure that the "values of the royal family" are observed.

Harry and Meghan are supposed to produce exclusive documentaries, films and content for Netflix's children's program, among other things. Above all, they wanted to focus on creating informative formats that should also give hope, said a statement by the couple after the deal became known. According to anonymous sources from the industry magazine "Deadline", the two will receive up to 150 million US dollars for this.
