The Duke of Sussex stood guard around Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin on Saturday, September 17, 2022, alongside Prince William, Zara Tindall, Peter Phillips, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. For this historic moment, Prince Harry was filmed in his military uniforman outfit he hadn’t worn since his departure from the royal familyon March 31, 2020. Experts have however noticed an important detail : on his outfit, the husband of Meghan Markle did not wear the initials “ER” in honor of his grandmother, as reported by the Mirror.
“He is heartbroken. Removing her grandmother’s initials seems very intentional”, reported to our British colleagues a friend of the father of Archie and Lilibet Diana. However, he was authorized by King Charles III to wear this military uniform. instead of just a costume, as had been planned in the morning. A “humiliation” all the greater since, the day before, on Prince Andrew’s uniform, those initials had been retained. And to continue:It’s time for the great reconciliation and there is a side, seen from France, a little bit petty.” In his first speech as king, Charles III had nevertheless made a noticed wink to his daughter-in-law and his son, showing a certain willingness to put aside grudges during this delicate period: “I would also like to express my love to Harry and Meghan. May they continue to build their lives abroad.”
