Headlining the hit play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child currently playing on Broadway, actor James Snyder, who plays Harry Potter, has been fired from the show, following a complaint brought against him by a cast member.

According to variety, the producers had launched an internal investigation after receiving a complaint for “misconduct” against Snyder on November 19, 2021, filed by actress Diane Davis, who plays Ginny Potter, his wife, on stage. Snyder had been suspended pending an internal investigation. The conclusions rendered, he is therefore dismissed. Diane Davis has taken unpaid leave for an indefinite period.

“Ms. Davis has made a personal decision to take time off”, the producers said in a statement, adding: “Out of respect for his privacy – and to maintain the integrity of the investigation – we will not comment further on this matter.”
