Harry Potter and the enchanted child: The premiere in Hamburg continues

Many "Harry Potter" fans have been waiting eagerly for this: the German-language premiere of the play "Harry Potter and the Enchanted Child" in Hamburg. But can the big premiere take place on March 15th in the "Mehr! Theater am Großmarkt"? Due to the increasing spread of the corona virus, Health Minister Jens Spahn (39) recommends canceling events with more than 1,000 participants.

All performances take place

"All performances of 'Harry Potter and the enchanted child' continue to take place," explains Julia Reichel from the German production company "Mehr-BB Entertainment" at the request of the news agency spot on news. "We are in close contact with the Hamburg health authority, which is responsible for risk assessment and event implementation and cancellation in Hamburg. If the ideas are canceled by the Hamburg authorities, we will immediately contact all ticket buyers and premiere guests."

Due to the current situation, hygiene measures have been expanded in all areas of the theater and all visitors are advised to take the usual flu precautions such as coughing and sneezing and hand hygiene. In addition, customers are provided with further information on the website.

A success-story

"Harry Potter and the Enchanted Child" premiered in London in 2016, and the piece has enjoyed great success since then. Other venues were added with New York and Melbourne. The play will premiere in San Francisco in autumn 2020 and the show will also be shown in Toronto.

"The Haunted Child" takes place 19 years after the end of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". Harry lives with his wife Ginny, who have three children. Harry works in the Ministry of Magic – and has problems with his son Albus Severus, who is just coming to Hogwarts. Albus and his new friend Scorpius Malfoy really mess up the magical world – and thus also dark forces.
