Harry Potter: Warner Bros. wants to make a TV series in 7 seasons for HBO Max

Best-selling children’s novel series, Harry Potter was quickly adapted to the cinema, propelling the franchise to the top. We’ve already had a lot of derivative products, including video games straight from the movies or even Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy more recently.

16 years after the publication of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the license continues to fascinate a whole community of fans and the studios will not deprive themselves to take advantage of it. According to Bloomberg, Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly in final talks to launch production of a TV series based on the novels Harry Potter. A project that has been dragging on for a few years, but which now seems to be on the verge of becoming a reality. We would be entitled to seven seasons, each based on a tome of the sagaAnd JK Rowling would be involved in the project. The author would not showrunner nor main creator, but would still have an important role in the design of this series, intended to a broadcast on HBO Max (which will soon merge with Discovery+ and change name).

For the moment, Warner Bros. And HBO Max did not comment on the information, but it seems serious enough for fans to rejoice or start raising barricades as JK Rowling’s aura has declined over the years, following his positions in the media and on social networks. As a reminder, the English novelist was not involved in the development of Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacywhich you can find at €53.99 on Gamesplanet.
