Harry Potter’s scar is not lightning! Its meaning would be very different and it would take on its full meaning…

You think you know everything about “Harry Potter” so did you know that his scar isn’t lightning? At least that’s what a Twitter user said in 2019, driving Potterheads crazy…

Every day, his theory: we never stop talking about Harry Potter! A new detail here, a new revelation there, the magical saga still reveals its secrets today – and the theories are so numerous that we sometimes miss the most interesting ones! For example: did you know that the protagonist’s scar is not lightning? It has the shape of a lightning bolt, yes, but it seems that this shape means something else…

In 2019, Twitter user “@todayyearsoldig” drove the internet crazy by pointing out that the sorcerer’s scar was actually the movement one must make with their wand to cast the terrible spell “Avada Kedavra”…

As you know, this is the killing curse that Voldemort cast on Harry when he was just a baby. But the Dark Lord’s plans did not go as planned: Harry’s mother, Lily, got in his way and the spell then struck her fatally, rebounding on the child who thus been marked for life by this scar.

The Twitter user was not the first to bring this up: in 2015, a Reddit user had already mentioned this point. JK Rowling, for her part, spoke about the scar in 2007 and admitted that she had chosen this shape because it was “cool”. “I couldn’t let my hero have a donut scar”, she then declared.

The saga Harry Potter, so dense and vast, has perhaps not yet revealed all its secrets. While waiting to discover others, it remains available in bookstores and on VOD!
