Harry Styles is shocked by the attack in Texas. He now wants to donate proceeds from his tour to end gun violence.

After the school attack in the small Texas town of Uvalde, numerous stars were affected. An 18-year-old gunman shot dead 19 students and two teachers on Tuesday (May 24). Singer Harry Styles (28) has now announced on social media that he would like to donate proceeds from his US tour in response to the terrible event.

In a statement with the comment “End gun violence,” the musician wrote on twitter and Instagram: “Like all of you, I am deeply dismayed by the recent spate of mass shootings in America, culminating in that at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.” As a consequence, Styles is working with the organization Everytown as part of his North American tour. The non-profit organization has been campaigning for stricter gun controls and the end of gun violence for many years.

Donation expected to exceed $1 million

The concert promoter Live Nation announced in a press release that they would like to donate over one million US dollars to Everytown together with the musician.

Styles’ North American tour kicks off in Toronto on August 15, 2022 and will include 42 concerts, all of which are now sold out.
