Hartmut Engler says goodbye to a companion
Tragic news for “PUR”: Front man Hartmut Engler, 59, and his band colleagues mourn their former companion Gertrud Maier. The cantor has been a long-term support for the band. From the newspaper ad that Hartmut Engler shares on his Facebook account, it becomes clear that Gertrud Maier was cantor at the Evangelical Paulus Church. “PUR” also benefited from Gertrud Maier’s musical passion in their early band phase. The boys were allowed to rehearse in the Pauluskirche in the early 80s. Because the previous nights were often short, Gertrud often greeted them with coffee, biscuits and “sometimes cake”.

Florian Silbereisen has to let Helene Fischer go first
