BEIRUT (Reuters) – Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is alive after the bombing of a building in the Lebanese suburbs of Beirut, a source close to the Iran-backed Shiite movement said.
For its part, Tehran is carrying out checks on the status of Hezbollah’s secretary general, a senior Iranian security official told Reuters.
The Israeli army announced that it had bombed Hezbollah’s central headquarters in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday.
According to the American news site Axios, which cites an Israeli source, the Israeli general staff was targeting Hassan Nasrallah.
