Will the Rocher-Saint-Michel d’Aiguilhe be voted France’s favorite monument? It’s on the right track: he has been selected to participate in the grand finale of the show France 3.
The chapel overlooking Le Puy-en-Velay and Aiguilhe won in the regional selection against the paper mill of Richard de Bas in Ambert (Puy-de-Dôme) and the villa La Casamaures in Saint-Martin-Le Vinoux ( Isere). The vote which ended on May 27 made it possible to decide between the sites selected in each region, but also which one will win the final.
Arrived in 4th position in 2014
All that remains is to wait until September: the big winner will be announced by Stéphane Bern during the European Heritage Days.
In the meantime, the Saint-Michel rock should benefit from media exposure with a report from France Télévisions, broadcast for the final. In 2014, already in the running, the monument came in 4th position.
