Initiated in March 2019, the advanced consultations of the Firminy hospital continue to develop, meeting a real need of the population of the sector. Patients no longer have to travel several kilometers for certain medical consultations.
Apart from orthopedic and visceral surgeries, because of their specificity, all the other specialties present work very well.
Thus, the pediatric consultations, set up in October 2021, are always full, with around twenty children examined each day. The parents are delighted and Doctor Lydie Favre too, who is delighted to be able to follow the babies she has seen born in the hospital. In case of emergency, five meeting places are available each week.
For the moment, due to the retirement of Doctor Landriot, gynecology consultations are suspended but should resume shortly with the recruitment of a new gynecologist-obstetrician.
