The first hikers and mountain bikers were finally able to cross the Lignon Himalayan footbridge this Friday, from 3 p.m., while the elected officials of the community of communes of the juices came to remove the chains which symbolically blocked access to the building. 268 meters long and around 60 meters high, the footbridge connects the towns of Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon and Grazac.

“It makes you dizzy, it rocks a little”

“We didn’t know it would be open,” rejoices a walker, who discovers with surprise that her access is authorized. After crossing in one direction, then in the other, she gives her verdict: “It’s good, but it’s true that it makes you dizzy, it rocks a little. »

As a three-day weekend is about to start, many walkers are expected on Saturday on the paths leading to the footbridge.
