The ice cream may be Italian, but the machine that makes it is made in Haute-Loire. In Brioude, since 2011, the Gris family business has been building ice cream machines for professionals. Soft serve, stick or granita ice creams: the company offers around thirty references.
Initially, it was machines made in China that the Altiligerian company sold. “By dint of dismantling them and reassembling them for the after-sales service, we saw that we knew how to make them”, says the manager, Fabien Gris. Since then, he has been making machines in his workshop, with his wife, two sons and two other employees, which are sold throughout France and even a little abroad. They are the only ones in France to do so.
“Machines for small local businesses”
Amusement parks and ice cream parlors are among Gris’ customers, but not only: “We make machines for small local businesses, for example a baker who would like to offer…
