Hauts-de-Seine: a young man beaten with a baseball bat

The facts were only revealed three days later. A 20-year-old young man was beaten up in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine) earlier this week on the evening of Monday April 18. The victim was violently assaulted by individuals armed with a baseball bat. An investigation has been opened by the Nanterre prosecutor’s office.

The drama took place around 10:45 p.m., in a building hall where the young man was waiting for his girlfriend. The attackers were able to flee before the arrival of the police, called by a neighbor.

According to information from Le Parisien, it is difficult to identify the number of people who participated in the attack as well as the motive for this punitive expedition.

According to the latest information available, the samples taken at the scene have not yet given any conclusive clues. The victim is still hospitalized in serious condition but has come out of a coma. We did not know, this Friday, if she could have been heard by the police.

It could anyway be a matter of a settling of scores between rival bands, as one resident of the sector believes: “Lately, bands from Clichy have been fighting those from Levallois. They sometimes fight with young people from the 17th or 18th arrondissement of Paris, but at the moment there is something with Levallois,” he told Le Parisien.

The investigations are continuing.
