Haven came out in December 2020, and it took us on Sourcea mysterious planet, alongside Yu and Kaia young couple wanting to escape society. Between the exploration phases and the fights, we are entitled to a few dialogues showing the evolution of their relationship, but The Game Bakers wants to diversify the couple.
Yes, the developers have just launched the Couples Update of Haven, allowing to choose the couple embodied in the game. The Yu and Kai original are still there, but players can now find alternative versions of the characters with two women or two men for homosexual couples. A way to “represent love in a broader way” according to the developers, who reveal on the blog playstation than Haven’s original concept originally included eight couples, removed to focus on just two characters. The update just changes the models of the heroes and heroines, the story and the dialogues obviously remain the same, but The Game Bakers still added the voices of Ryan Highley and Lexie Ann Kendrick.
Just like the Sweet Little Things Update, the Couples Update is totally free and already available in Haven on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch. The game is currently on sale at 15 € on GOG.com.
