Goodbye to the taste buds

Who does not know the annoying itching for the hay fever season. It's not just the skin and eyes that make it difficult for us to keep our hands together. The palate also often begins to tingle. The itching can make people sleep at night and drive them crazy during the day – after all, it is difficult to scratch in the mouth.

We have redemption for you! An SOS home remedy that our grandmothers already knew has almost been forgotten in pharmacies in times of antihistamines: it's about nettles! Yes, of all things, the plant that gives us itchy pimples in nature can be a tea cure for hay fever.

A cup of nettle tea with a spoonful of honey is said to make itchy palates go away in no time. The honey not only tastes good, but also protects the sore mucous membrane. It's worth trying it out!

Walk with hay fever

We try to leave our home only for the bare minimum and then, if possible, alone or in pairs – because now there is also a nationwide ban on contact due to the corona crisis. We still need fresh air, walks are still allowed. However, anyone who is currently suffering from hay fever is pinched – because outside the symptoms worsen.

No allergy sufferer should and shouldn't go for a walk. As the "Allergy Advisor" explains, it depends on the time of day!

If you suffer from hay fever, you should definitely not go outdoors in the morning. It's better to postpone your walk until late afternoon – the pollen concentration in the air is not as strong as in the early morning.

And after that – as always change clothes, because the pollen is only too happy to hide in your textiles and annoy us without us seeing them. Stay healthy!
