Hayden Panettiere, Wladimir Klitschko’s ex-fiancé, prays for her Ukrainian friends and family.
Hayden Panettiere (32) supports her family and friends in Ukraine. In an emotional Instagram post The US actress condemns the invasion of Russia and shows her solidarity with Ukraine. “I have personally witnessed the strength of the Ukrainian people who have fought so hard for their independence and have passionately defended their country over the years. What Putin is doing is an absolute disgrace!” she wrote.
“This horrifying moment in history sends a chilling message: the message that in this day and age, in 2022, it’s okay to violate the rights of free people and allow autocrats like Putin to take what they have want,” she continued.
“I wish you had more support”
The actress was in a relationship and even engaged to the Ukrainian ex-boxing world champion Wladimir Klitschko (45) from 2010 to 2011 and from 2013 to 2018. The two have daughter Kaya (born 2014). Panettiere prays “for my family and friends” in Ukraine “and for all those who are fighting”. “I wish you guys had more support and I wish I was there fighting with you guys!” She asked “those of us who cannot be there to stand shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and show their support for democracy.”
At the same time, she also made clear her support for her ex-partner Wladimir and his brother Vitali Klitschko (50), the mayor of Kiev. Panettiere called for regular updates from the two brothers to be kept up to date.
