Family releases first statement after brother’s death

Hayden Panettiere is in deep mourning for her brother Jansen. Now the actress and her parents have spoken for the first time since the tragic loss and announced the cause of death.
On February 19, 2023, Jansen Panettiere died at the age of 28 after being found “unresponsive” in his New York apartment. A terrible loss that deeply saddens his older sister Hayden Panettiere, 33, as well as his parents. Now the family has released an emotional statement in which they also announce Jansen’s cause of death.
Hayden Panettiere’s brother Jansen has died of a heart problem
“You could see Jansen’s heart in his eyes, his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile, his soul in his masterful and insightful paintings and the joie de vivre in his wry wit,” reads the statement that Jansen’s mother Lesley Vogel, his father Skip and sister Hayden Panettiere told ABC News.
“His charisma, warmth, compassion for others and creative spirit will live on forever in our hearts and in the hearts of everyone he met.” In addition, the grieving family explains that the coroner attributed the sudden death of the 28-year-old to cardiomegaly. This enlargement of the heart occurred in connection with complications of the aortic valve.
Family shares heartbreaking parting words
“We are sincerely grateful for the love and support shown to our family as we navigate this unimaginable loss and ask that we be granted our privacy at this time of grief,” the family said. Finally, the “Heroes” actress and her parents turn directly to their beloved brother and son, respectively: “We love you so much Jansen and you will always be in our hearts.”
