They have been separated for almost four years. But when the going gets tough, they still stand together: Hayden Panettiere shows full solidarity with Wladimir Klitschko and his Ukrainian compatriots in these terrible days.
Hayden Panettiere, 32, is with her heart in these hours with her ex-fiancé Wladimir Klitschko, 45, and the people in his homeland. Hours after Russia under President Vladimir Putin, 69, gave the order to attack Ukraine, the ex-boxer took to Instagram with a flaming message, vowing to defend his homeland. Words that must have shaken the mother of his daughter Kaya, 7, to the core. Still, she immediately showed her solidarity by reposting his strong message.

Then, on February 25, 2022, the actress herself shared a touching photo of herself smiling and hugging a Ukrainian. Wladimir smiles as he observes the scene, which apparently took place during a demonstration a few years ago.
“I have personally witnessed the strength of the Ukrainian people who have fought so hard for their independence and have passionately defended their country over the years,” she writes, adding: “What Putin is doing is an absolute disgrace!” This horrifying moment in history sends a chilling message: “The message that in this day and age, in 2022, it’s okay to violate the rights of free people and allow autocrats like Putin to take what they want ” said the deeply shocked actress.
“I wish I was there to fight with you guys!”
Hayden obviously struggles with her helplessness, far away from the people who became dear to her many years ago and still are to this day. “I am praying for my family and friends there and everyone who is fighting. I wish you had more support and I wish I was there to fight with you!”
The 32-year-old not only fears for the life of her ex-partner, but also for the well-being of his brother Vitali Klitschko, 50, his wife Natalia, 47, and their children Max, Elisabeth-Victoria and Yegor-Daniel. Vladimir’s older brother is the mayor of the Ukrainian capital of Kiev and is ready to go into battle. “I have no other choice, I have to do this,” he said on the TV show “Good Morning Britain” – and emphasized: “I would fight.”
In 2019, it was reported that Hayden and Vladimir’s daughter Kaya would be living in Ukraine with her father. Concerned fans asked the Hollywood star about their current whereabouts under their post. “She’s safe and not in Ukraine,” Hayden was able to reassure her followers.
Hayden Panettiere gives the all-clear: Her seven-year-old daughter Kaya is currently not in Ukraine.

The on-off love between Hayden and Wladimir
Panetierre and Klitschko began dating in 2009 and split in 2011. In 2013, the actress confirmed her love comeback with the boxer. The engagement was announced in October of the same year. Their daughter Kaya was finally born in December 2014. In August 2018, the end of their love became official.
