After the comedian Hazel Brugger surprised a few months ago with her pregnancy, she now tells us that she got married.

A few months ago, Hazel Brugger (27, "I'm so pretty: columns and more") surprised her fans with the announcement that she was pregnant. Now she and her partner Thomas Spitzer (32) reveal that the two have been married for some time. "I haven't told you that yet, but Thomas and I got married almost a year ago," writes the comedian and author of several pictures of the wedding on Instagram.

In a "tough year like 2020", she never thought it appropriate "to talk about the huge happiness I have felt since and when and because Thomas is in my life". The celebration went "so very differently than planned", "that I only noticed many months later how perfect the day actually was". At that time the two were "infinitely sad" "that this marriage should start so improvised and unspectacular". However, "the crazy thing about perfect moments (…) is that it is sometimes not that easy to recognize them as such". Brugger does not want to "boast about how great it is to be married to Thomas. But I do want it a little". He makes her laugh out loud every day and she looks forward to the future together.

Shortly after the first lockdown

Spitzer also published several photos and commented: "Such an imperfect day, such a difficult time, so much different from everything we had planned, and yet so beautiful." The wedding took place about nine months ago, "shortly after the first lockdown and in a (literally) small circle". He couldn't describe "what it feels like to be Hazel's husband, but in six years of relationship there hasn't been a day where I haven't laughed out loud at least once." He also sees it as his "personal duty to make Hazel laugh at least once a day".

On October 1st, Brugger revealed on Facebook and Twitter that she was pregnant. Among other things, because it was so brief, some fans initially doubted it. "You don't seriously believe it? An entertaining and sharp-tongued Hazel with pun, esprit and Swiss charm wouldn't announce a pregnancy so flatly," a Facebook follower said at the time.
