(Boursier.com) — PT HDF Energy Indonesia, subsidiary in Asia of Hydrogène de France SA (HDF Energy) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Study and Test Center for Electricity, New and Renewable Energy and Energy Saving (BBSP KEBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Resources (MEMR) from Indonesia on joint studies to develop HDF Energy’s Renewstable power plants in Indonesia.

Under this MoU, the two parties will combine their technical know-how and market understanding to develop a portfolio of Renewstable and hydrogen projects in Indonesia to provide Indonesian consumers with clean, stable and continuous energy, from day and night.
Invented and developed by HDF Energy, the Renewstable multi-megawatt power plants produce non-intermittent, renewable, stable and controllable electricity day and night, without any greenhouse gas emissions, thanks to photovoltaic energy and long-term storage. hydrogen energy. A Renewstable power plant produces locally consumed electricity, thereby reducing exposure to imported fuels, their price volatility and supply risks. For its part, BBSP KEBTKE is a specialized MEMR agency that offers survey, test and study services related to new and renewable energies as well as energy saving projects.

This MoU illustrates HDF Energy’s focus on Indonesia, in an effort to expand its presence in Asia, following its developments this year in Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia and the Philippines. HDF is developing a pipeline of more than 20 projects in Indonesia, for an investment amount of $1.5 billion, with the support of development banks.

This memorandum was signed in the presence of the main Indonesian authorities and donors: the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the French Embassy in Indonesia, the British FCDO Mentari, BNP Paribas and the Dutch NGO HIVOS.
