The week ended with a bang, with the mysterious story of this radio antenna which flew into the wild, but also with good news for Windows 11 users and, generally, everyone who has an account in, bank. We summarize the tech news for February 9, 2024.

But who stole a radio antenna?

This is a question to which the American authorities will have great difficulty finding an answer. In Alabama, an antenna more than 60 meters high disappeared overnight, leaving only a few cables on the ground. No one knows how the thief did it, but police are confident they will quickly find the culprit. We believe in them.

Instant transfers become free at all banks

And we can thank the European Commission. After several months of waiting, EU member countries have all adopted this new law which imposes new restrictions on banks. In addition, there are faster transfers, but above all free, while protecting users from the risk of fraud.

The Windows 11 taskbar will finally move into the modern era

As is often the case, we find some very interesting new features in the latest build of Window 11 for Insiders. Among them, a small animation which is activated when the mouse cursor passes over the icon of an open application. This then displays the content of the application in a small pop-up which disappears when you move your mouse. Clever.
