The evening their father died, they were both present in Marnes-la-Coquette, in Hauts-de-Seine. “We were watching television and I heard a nurse who was frantic and saying we had to come quickly”, remembered the older of the two sisters. A few minutes later, Jade Hallyday explained that she heard her mother scream. “Mom starts to cuddle us and tells us that our dad is gone. I will always remember that moment because it broke something.”, confided Jade Hallyday. Even though the famous rocker died six years ago, the two sisters explained that they talked about him daily. “There isn’t a day when we don’t listen to a song by him. We continue to talk about him in the present tense because I find it sad to talk about him in the past tense. I like to tell myself that even ‘he’s not there physically, he’s still there’, declared the youngest daughter of Johnny Hallyday’s widow. They are convinced that their father continues to watch over them and their mother.
