Tragedy! TikTok star Philecia La’Bounty, 35, is the victim of a misunderstanding, reports The Sun. In fact, doctors have diagnosed stage four breast cancer to this model. However, almost a year earlier, she had been refused a mammogram on the pretext that she was too young to have the disease. It all started in July 2018 when Philecia La’Bounty discovered a suspicious bump on his chest. The doctors then made her realize that the lump was benign, so non-cancerous. These same doctors convinced her that she was too young to have breast cancer. So they didn’t offer him a mammographywhich could have saved his life.
“Accepting this was a big mistake and I realize now that I should have fought harder for the screening,” explained Philecia La’Bounty. Only eight months later, at age 29, and after two more meetings at the doctor, she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.”Stage 4 breast cancer means the cancer has spread to other parts of the body, and in Philecia’s case it had spread to her lungs, lymph nodes and breastbone“, Explain The Sun.
“I have the feeling that the doctors let me down”
During her confession, Philecia La’Bounty claimed that she had directly thought of death after learning she had cancer. “I have the feeling that the doctors let me down”, she confided. Philecia La’Bounty was placed in menopause medically induced since his diagnosis. Cancer Research UK explain that : “people who develop stage 4 breast cancer have only 22% chance of surviving over 5 years“
