Are you fed up with your job or do you see no prospects for advancement in your career? What if you tried a career change in web development? O’clock offers a short, but intense tele-presential training, offering quick outlets on the job market. Antoine made this choice, and does not regret it in the least.

Business demand for web developers is always high, and it’s never too late to get started. O’clock offers intensive 6-month training in telepresential format, which combines proximity, efficiency, quality and practicality. Since its foundation in 2016, the establishment has already trained more than 5,000 tech professionals throughout France. Will you be next?

Antoine’s conversion

Antoine is a former student passed by O’clock. Exhausted by his profession as a wine merchant and brewer, he decided to change his life and join O’clock to become a web developer. “It’s one of the jobs where you can most easily telecommute, and that was important to us. We don’t want to leave our beautiful region, we love the mountain setting”explains the young man, who lives near Clermont-Ferrand.

To those who wonder how one can progress so quickly to be fit for the labor market after training, Antoine answers: “I think that’s really what got me the most with O’clock; we are really framed. Me, if I don’t have someone to tell me to work, I can tend to be a little nimble, and to postpone this moment. This school really gave me the framework and the rigor that I needed to succeed in my retraining ».

For Antoine, France is conducive to this type of retraining and you shouldn’t be afraid to get started. “Yes, the hardest thing is really to make the decision to leave a certain stability… Once again, you have to demystify the CDI; in France, we tend to be afraid of losing it, afraid of changing, of failing… But in the end, we have so much help to get there in our country that the risks are limited. So, if that’s what you want, you have to dare! »assures the new web developer.

He explains that when he left his old job, he only lost 200 euros in salary per month for six months thanks to Pôle emploi. “And that, compared to what we were going to be able to win afterwards, the choice was quickly made”, he breathes. The risk he took, relative therefore, quickly paid off since he managed to find a job even before completing his training. It was Omydoo, a company specializing in business management solutions, that trusted him.

If he worked hard to get there, Antoine is well aware that O’clock has largely contributed to his current situation. ” I would just say “thank you”; a very big THANK YOU to all my tutors and trainers, we laughed as much as we worked, and that, always in kindness. I am happy to have made this reconversion with O’clock concludes the man who was a brewer and wine merchant not so long ago.

Training for all

Classes are taught daily on video, led by dedicated teachers and available full-time. This method makes it possible to benefit from this training from home, without having to travel, and thus makes it accessible to all. O’clock nevertheless places interactions and exchanges at the heart of its project: these are not pre-recorded videos to watch, but real live lessons. The objective is also to recreate the atmosphere of a classroom, with peer support and attentive trainers.

After class, students are invited to put their newly acquired skills into practice during revisions and challenges, which they can practice independently or in a group. They train and collaborate, while remaining constantly supervised in real time by an experienced teaching team.

O’clock offers training designed in-house by its team of trainer-developers and pedagogical tutors, who have years of practice. If its flagship program is to become a Web developer in 6 months, the school also offers more specialized training, to become a full stack Javascript developer, systems and network administrator. Shorter courses to learn the basics of a discipline are also available. You can follow the classic continuous training route, or opt for a 16-month work-study Web developer course, which has the advantage of including a first professional experience.
