The world of culture and in particular French cinema has been torn apart since the broadcast of an issue of Further investigation on France 2 in the month of December, and dedicated to Gérard Depardieu. The behavior of the actor, now 75 years old, shocked many viewers and forced several personalities to speak out to give him their support. Already accused of rape and sexual assault by several women, some of whom were actresses he met on the sets of old films, Gérard Depardieu then found himself stuck in a real media storm which has continued to blow ever since.
Faced with the media outcry caused by the broadcast of France 2 and while actresses like Carole Bouquet, Nathalie Baye and Fanny Ardant had decided to come to her defense, a column appeared on December 25 in Le Figaro. It brings together around fifty celebrities including Carla Bruni, Victoria Abril, Arielle Dombasle and Gérard Darmon who wished recall the importance of the presumption of innocence and that nothing could ever erase the imprint of a “sacred beast” on cinema. But this platform only strengthened the detractors, encouraging certain co-signatories including Patrice Leconte, Yvan Attal and Pierre Richard to change their minds given the strong criticism to which they were in turn subject.

Indeed, Kev Adams expressed himself on what we now call “the Depardieu affair”while he is in the middle of a tour to promote his new film Retirement home 2 to discover from February 14 (Leisure TV). For the record, Gérard Depardieu participated in the filming of the first part (2022). While recalling his “love for this guy” and wishing him “the best”he understands, however, that “a lot” of people “have seen quite shocking images or have heard of quite shocking images”notably echoing the show Further investigation. “Obviously, I completely submit to justice, he was offensive, aggressive. If he was disrespectful in any way to anyone, obviously he should be punished for that.no matter what he did or what he built”he admitted.
However, the 32-year-old comedian wants justice to be done in the courts. Especially since he “n / A never had any inappropriate behavior, whether verbal or physical, on set shooting” to report in the past.
