Sussex Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene following a an incident medical in water. “Police provided support to the coastguard and ambulance service during an incident on Worthing beach at around 5.40pm on Sunday May 28“, said a police spokesman. “A 70-year-old man was treated by ambulance services after being victim of a medical incident in the water. He was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed“, according to the statement.
