He transplanted a Game Boy Advance into a Tiger electronic game

For a child of the 80s and 90s, it is difficult to miss the Tiger electronic games. Offered in countless variations in the popular license colors of the day, these handheld games were everywhere. The catch was that the gameplay they offered was sketchy to say the least. Despite everything, their omnipresence means that some have retained nostalgia for them. In order to allow a better quality gaming experience while maintaining the appearance of the object, a modder has embarked on a project as unexpected as it is daring.

What could result from the crossing of a Tiger electronic game and a Game Boy Advance? This is the answer to which YouTuber Chris Downing responded. The latter has indeed created a Tiger Boy Advance, a Game Boy Advance housed in the shell of a Tiger game.

Like a normal Game Boy Advance, this Tiger version allows you to play GBA games but also Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. But this is not a simple change of hull. Indeed, the modder has for example installed here an IPS screen of better quality than that of the GBA. A more modern battery is also present here.

A Game Boy Advance with Tiger sauce, you deserve it

In the video that accompanies this article, Chris Downing details the entire process of creating his Tiger Boy Advance. He therefore returns to the difficulties of designing and printing a shell with suitable rigidity and shapes.

At first glance, it is possible to think that his machine is as big as a normal Tiger game. But in fact, it is significantly bigger. Either way, the result is impressive. However, it is not certain that the playing comfort is optimal here.

The tragic fate of Tiger Electronics

For the record, the real Tiger Electronics released their own portable console in the late 90s. Called Tiger Game.com, the machine had ports of famous games like Resident Evil 2, Fighters Megamix, Duke Nukem 3D, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, etc.

But unfortunately for its buyers, the playful quality was not there. And despite the release of a second model with the backlit screen, the experience did not last very long.

What do you think of this project? Do you nostalgia for Tiger electronic games? If so, what Tiger games have you played? Would you like to try playing this Game Boy Advance in the form of Tiger game? Tell us all in the comments below.
