He tries to miscarry his girlfriend in a sickening way

When she got pregnant, Chloe thought her boyfriend would be thrilled. But Thomas Gair, a policeman, tried everything to prevent her from giving birth. After insulting her, asking her to have an abortion, he violently pushed her down the stairs.

It was a particularly moving trial that took place. A few days ago, the Durham Crown Court sentenced Thomas Gair. The officer was found guilty of controlling and coercive behavior, three counts of assault and one of harassment and remanded in custody pending sentencing on April 24. On May 31, 2020, he assaulted his girlfriend. Shortly before, this policewoman had announced to him that she was expecting a child. “When I got pregnant he told me to have an abortion or he was going to leave me. He said we couldn’t afford it and it would ruin our lives, remembered Chloe Bradley. He told me that I would be a shitty mother and that I was probably going to lose the baby. I was really sick when I was pregnant, I was going back and forth to the hospital, but he didn’t offer me any help or support, he wanted me to miscarry.”

For weeks, the young woman lived through hell. “He was pushing and poking me in the stomach and threatening me”, she added. On May 31, 2020, therefore, Thomas Gair carried out his threats and pushed his partner down the stairs in the hope that she would have a miscarriage. “He started screaming in my face and he pushed me away and I fell down the stairs backwards and hit my head twice, Chloe said. I was knocked out and he was freaking out when I came to. I was taken to hospital by ambulance and needed a CT scan.” Finally, the young woman gave birth to a very healthy baby and filed a complaint against the police officerwho has denied all charges against him.

Other domestic violence

Chloe Bradley told the court about the difficulties of her relationship with Thomas Gair, who she said decided where she went, who she saw and what she ate. In January 2020, the police officer notably picked her up from a nightclub and pushed her out of the car when they returned home. Chloe fell but as she got up he backed up quickly, hitting her with the passenger door. “I got knocked down and fell. I think it was on the side of my head that I landed and lost consciousness. I don’t know how long I’ve been away.” she told the court. Throughout their relationship, the policeman insulted and hit her many times. The abuse continued after the couple joined the police force just weeks apart in 2021. Thomas Gair will be set on his fate on April 24.
