This Friday, March 24, Aurore Bergé, leader of the majority deputies in the National Assembly, revealed, on her Twitter account, a very violent threatening letter that she recently received. Her child, only 4 months old, is directly targeted by this intimidation. “His offspring is so small, he can’t run away. Fire, baseball bat, iron bar. Everything will be, no, everything is good to eradicate you. Take care every day, and especially at night.”is it written on this handwritten letter.
On her Twitter account, the majority MP expressed her anger and disgust at this letter. “To be insulted, to be intimidated, it was already intolerable. But to come to threaten my 4-month-old baby (…) It’s infamous. just infamous“, she wrote, visibly in shock. This threatening letter comes in a very particular context. For several days, demonstrations, sometimes violentare organized, everywhere in France, to protest against the government forced passage on pension reform. Offices of elected officials are regularly targeted and there are countless deputies of the majority who report receiving threats.
