Head-on collision – wrong-way driver accident on A2 exit: three injured

A driver made a serious mistake on Wednesday evening in Lower Austria. The driver had entered the autobahn at Leobersdorf incorrectly, and the driver of another car that was just leaving crashed head-on into the wrong-way driver. Three people were injured.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. As the volunteer fire brigade Wiener Neustadt reported, the two vehicles were severely deformed in the violent collision.

Seriously injured man brought to the emergency room
During the operation, the helpers were supported by colleagues from the Leobersdorf volunteer fire brigade and numerous rescue workers.
These took over the care of the three injured vehicle occupants. A seriously injured person had to be brought to the emergency room in Wiener Neustadt after the emergency medical treatment, it said.

The severely damaged vehicles were subsequently transported away and the accident site was opened to traffic again after the clean-up work.
