Heartstopper, Netflix’s cutest series, returns next October and is revealed in a teaser that will make you smile from ear to ear.

Alice Oseman, author of the Heartstopper comic strip, announced the arrival of a new teaser on her social networks last weekend and it is finally here. After several weeks of waiting, Netflix finally reveals the launch date for season 3: see you on October 3 to find our favorite couple from the small screen.

But this good news does not come alone. The platform has posted a short extract online in which we see Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) sharing a particularly adorable scene which is modeled on Oseman’s comic strip.

Season 3 will be that of the first “I love you” for the high school student who suffers from an eating disorder but is trying to open up little by little. This will also be the central theme of this new burst of episodes, as the author confirms:

“We will continue to examine the spectrums of mental health in depth and explore how it affects Nick and Charlie’s relationship and the other friendships on the show. So people who have read volume four will have a little idea of ​​what’s coming. I’m really looking forward to taking the series in a different direction.”

This teaser for season 3 of Heartstopper is especially accompanied by an exclusive extract of a new song by Billie Eilish. Entitled “Birds of a Feather”, it will be available on the album Hit me Hard and Soft from May 17.

Who says new season, says new faces. While Olivia Colman (Charlie’s mother) and Sebastian Croft (Ben) will not be back in season 3, Netflix has announced the arrival of three new characters, played by three British actors that we love.

Jonathan Bailey, discovered in The Bridgerton Chronicles, will play Jack Maddox, a famous author on Instagram for whom Charlie has a crush. We will also find Hayley Atwell (Captain America) in the role of Diane, Nick’s aunt who takes him on summer vacation to Minorca and who gives him advice on his relationship with Charlie. Finally, Eddie Marsan was chosen to play Geoff, Charlie’s therapist who will help him with his eating disorders.
