After seven years of marriage and three children together, Heidi Klum and Seal announced their separation in 2012. Despite eight weddings, your love shouldn’t last forever.
Almost ten years after her divorce from Seal, 58, Heidi Klum, 48, comments on her relationship with the singer and finds honest words. She also explains why the couple said yes every year after their wedding in 2005.
Heidi Klum: “I’ve tried”
“I think I married Seal eight times,” she recalls in an interview with the Sunday Times. “I thought it was going to be kind of fun.” You wanted to celebrate love with it. Today, however, the native of Bergisch Gladbach admits: “But you know, that doesn’t work either. I tried it, you can’t say that I haven’t tried it!” Over time, she lost faith in the ceremonies, felt that “this doesn’t really work,” but still tried to stay on course.
But the love of the German supermodel and the American musician should not last. The couple separated in 2012, and they have three children, Henry, 15, Johan, 14, and Lou, 11. Heidi’s daughter Leni Klum, 17, whose biological father is Formula 1 manager Flavio Briatore, 71, was adopted by Seal in 2009.

Two years after the love affair, Heidi Klum and Seal were divorced. The two ex-spouses share custody of the four children. “It could be easier sometimes, but everyone is healthy and that is the most important thing,” admits the “Germany’s Next Top Model” boss. “A solution can be found for everything else.”

Her ex-husband doesn’t seem to be that positive about it all. He recently admitted in an interview with Us Weekly that it can sometimes be a challenge to share custody, especially since the two stars are often in different locations. “It takes teamwork. When you’re a team, when both parents are a team, it’s really easy and by no means a challenge,” said the 58-year-old. When asked if he and his ex-wife had teamwork, he found a clear answer: “No … I never had teamwork with [Klum]. “
New relationship dynamics with Tom Kaulitz
The mother of four has been married again since 2019. In a ceremony on a ship off Capri, she said yes to Tom Kaulitz, 31. With him she seems to experience a whole new dynamic, regularly raves about her lover in the highest tones. So also in the “Sunday Times” interview: “Sometimes it’s just about talking about things, you understand? I’ve never had that before. In the past, I had to make all the decisions, do all the planning for everyone,” she says. “I didn’t know it could be like that. I’m just finding out these things.”
