In the GALA interview, Heike Makatsch raves about her new dog and tells what is going on at home.

Suddenly her voice is very high and soft: “Samso, Samso!” Heike Makatsch, 50, has just spoken about her new internet thriller, but when a short bark can be heard, she has to apologize briefly.

Heike Makatsch: “It’s a mega-mix”

The reason for the interruption of the telephone interview with GALA is small, turbulent and incredibly cute. “I’ve never had a dog before, I always wondered why people tie this responsibility to their legs. And now I think it’s very nice,” says the actress. Friends found Samso on the street in Greece. So he came to Makatsch and her family in Berlin six months ago. “We call it a mega-mix,” she says and laughs. A dog trainer helps with the education. “Loving authority! That is my creed.”

She is the strictest when it comes to the internet and social media

An attitude that Heike Makatsch is also familiar with as a mother. From her relationship with the musician Max Schröder, 47, she has two teenage daughters. Today she is with her acting colleague Trystan Pütter, 40, together. She is the strictest on the subject of the Internet and social media, said Makatsch.

I think we need a set of rules that doesn’t have to be discussed over and over again.

“In my opinion, you have to delay giving children their own cell phones for as long as possible. Before that, it only helps to severely restrict their use, even if it leads to frustration.” Is she trying to be a role model for her children when it comes to using the cell phone? “Yes, exactly. We’re all pulling together. I think you need a set of rules that you don’t have to discuss over and over again. That may sound authoritarian, but I think that’s the best.” Nevertheless, the TV star also knows about his weaknesses: “There are moments when I really hit my fingers and say: Now put that thing away!”

Makatsch describes her sometimes excessive newspaper reading on her cell phone as a kind of “information addiction”. They delve into everything to do with “the elections, the coalition negotiations” or “new Facebook revelations, gender-sensitive language”. At least until Samso barks and brings his mistress back into the analog world.
