In the successful two-part crime thriller “The Woman in the Sea”, Heino Ferch investigates again in the fictional town of Nordholm. A role that also suits him well is his private life as a father. This is how the actor ticks as a family man.
Heino Ferch, 59, belongs to the actor elite of German television. He celebrated his first cinema successes in “Comedian Harmonists” and “Run Lola Run”, he became a television star through TV hits such as “The Tunnel”, “The Miracle of Lengede” or “The Mysterious Treasure of Troy”. On January 2nd and 3rd, 2023, the native of Bremerhaven can be seen in the two-part crime thriller “Die Frau im Meer” alongside Isabell Polak, 41. But besides his career as an actor, there is something else that is particularly close to his heart: his family.

The North German already had three children when his youngest son Karl was born in August 2021. He is already raising Ava, 13, and Gustav, 8, with his wife Marie-Jeanette, 46. There is also daughter Luisa, 22, who comes from Ferch’s previous relationship. The father of four became more relaxed with each child. “As a father, I’m more relaxed today,” emphasized the television star in an interview with ‘Bild’. “I have the experience of the other kids because there’s always a couple of years in between,” he explained.

“I got into a total horse family”
In the talk show “Riverboat”, moderator Kim Fisher, 53, was able to elicit further details from the film and television star about his life as a family man. “I came into a complete family of horses,” said the 59-year-old, who likes to play polo himself. His wife is an eventer and his daughter Ava is a show jumper. “It’s a very fair sport, the pole is up or down and you can see who was the fastest,” said the actor.
He still feels afraid. “I’m nervous. My wife manages it great that she has horses that bring her home safely. Something can always happen, but the passion is so great. There’s nothing you can do but keep your fingers crossed and close hope that everything goes well and that she is the fastest,” said the father of four.

Tonight, viewers can once again admire Heino Ferch in one of his signature roles. He has already cleared up cases in Nordholm three times: “Death of a Girl” (2015) was followed by “The Disappeared Family” (2019) and “The Girl on the Beach” (2020). Now Kessler has his fourth assignment: in the two-parter “The Woman in the Sea” (Part 2 Tuesday, January 3, 8:15 p.m. on ZDF) he has to find out how his former colleague Hella Christensen (Barbara Auer) died – and also get together with his new colleague Lena Jansen (Isabell Polak). .
