Heino and Hannelore formed a strong unit for decades. Now the singer has to cope with the death of his beloved wife.
Pop singer Heino (84) mourns the loss of his beloved wife Hannelore. How “Bild” reported on Wednesday afternoon that she died on November 8th at the age of 82 in her home in Kitzbühel, Austria. The couple were married for 44 years and were almost inseparable. But in her final hours the singer could not be with his beloved wife.
Heino found out about her death at work
According to the report, Heino was in Berlin recording a TV show at the time. There the terrible news reached him. His manager Helmut Werner (39) explained: “Heino and all of us are in deep sadness.” He also explained why the death was only now being announced: “It was Heino’s express wish to be able to say goodbye to his beloved wife in silence.” Hannelore suffered a so-called death in seconds due to sudden cardiac arrest. Heino consoles himself with the fact that she didn’t have to suffer any pain. Helmut Werner continued: “Hannelore had previously eaten her breakfast, which a domestic worker had brought her. Afterwards I received a call from her saying that she wasn’t feeling particularly well.” Heino also spoke to her on the phone beforehand. The 82-year-old suffered a heart attack 20 years ago and had three stents and bypasses, and she has survived several pneumonias in recent years.
The manager then called the emergency services as a precaution and decided to cancel rehearsals for the Sat.1 show “Kiwi’s Big Party Night” and to travel back to Kitzbühel with Heino. However, the emergency doctor found Hannelore already unconscious and attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful.
The couple met at the Miss Austria pageant in Kitzbühel in 1972 and got married in 1979. It was Heino’s third marriage. Hannelore accompanied him to many appointments and appearances. They don’t have any children together.
