Helen Reddy: Feminist and "I Am Woman" singer passed away

The singer and feminist Helen Reddy, who became famous among other things with her song "I Am Woman", died at the age of 78.

The Australian singer's children, Traci and Jordan, have now announced that their mother died on the afternoon of September 29th in Los Angeles at the age of 78.

The feminist, singer and actress, who was born in Melbourne, Australia, was one of the stars of the US music scene in the 1970s. Her probably greatest hit "I Am Woman", for which she also received a Grammy, first appeared in 1971 on the album "I Don't Know How to Love Him". In her short Grammy speech, she thanked "God because SHE makes everything possible."
