A real highlight at the end: Helene Fischer appears in Gottschalk’s farewell show. Will Apache 207 also make an exception?
In about a month, from November 25th, Thomas Gottschalk (73) will be conducting “Wetten,dass..?” on ZDF for the very last time. It was not yet known which star guests the German presenter legend would be able to welcome on the famous betting sofa. But in his Podcast “The Supernoses”which he produces together with Mike Krüger (71), Gottschalk has now revealed some names.
Helene Fischer and Shirin David together on “Wetten,dass..?”
“I can humbly announce that I have Helene Fischer in ‘Wetten,dass..?’ will perform together with Shirin David. That’s something like the Stones with Lady Gaga, which unfortunately I don’t have,” said Gottschalk in the latest episode of the podcast, which is available exclusively on RTL+.
When asked by his co-host Mike Krüger whether the German pop star and the successful rapper will “sing together,” Gottschalk replied: “They’ll sing together some reminiscence of 100 years of ‘Atemlos’.” He also doesn’t know yet whether superstar Helene Fischer will rap during her “Wetten, dass…?” performance. “Yes, I don’t know if she raps, but I know they perform,” said Gottschalk.
Also Apache 207 at “Wetten, dass..?”?
The ZDF production is also “involved” with rapper Apache 207 (26), who just scored a massive chart success together with Udo Lindenberg (77) with the song Komet, even though the musician “demonstrably does not appear on television ‘Bet that..?’ “But maybe make an exception,” revealed Gottschalk. The presenter can certainly confirm that singer Cher (77) will be there at his farewell edition. “Cher is coming at the moment,” Gottschalk said on the podcast show.
The last “Wetten, dass..?” edition
Originally “Bet, that…?” Discontinued in 2014. In November 2021, however, the show actually made a one-off comeback. With almost 14 million viewers, the return of the classic was so successful that ZDF planned further annual editions.
Gottschalk’s long-time co-host Michelle Hunziker (46) will not be at his side in the final “Wetten, dass…?” edition. Gottschalk also received a rejection from his former betting candidate Samuel Koch (36), whom the presenter would have liked to see on the show. What will happen in the future with “Wetten, dass…?” ZDF would like to decide after the broadcast.
