Heli in use – several crashes on the ski slope: two injured

Two skiing accidents occurred almost simultaneously on a ski slope in Hopfgarten, Tyrol. Two winter sports enthusiasts were injured.

Around 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, there was a crash on slope no. 22 in the Hopfgarten ski area for the first time: in front of the Rigi inn, there was a collision between a German snowboarder and a Dutch skier (25). The skier suffered serious injuries – he received first aid from the piste rescue service and was finally flown to the Kufstein hospital with the emergency helicopter. The snowboarder was probably unharmed. Just kept going without worrying about injuries. Almost 50 meters above and just 20 minutes later, there was another collision between a German snowboarder and a Dutch skier (16). The 16-year-old was standing on the edge of the piste when a falling snowboarder knocked her over. The skier sustained injuries to her left shoulder. This snowboarder should also have remained unharmed. He continued driving without paying attention to the injured person. The 16-year-old was also taken to the Kufstein hospital.
