Helicopter in action – Tyrolean woman captured by Badner Bahn: seriously injured


A Tyrolean woman was hit by a Badner Bahn train and seriously injured on Monday afternoon in Wiener Neudorf, Lower Austria. The 39-year-old had to be flown to the UKH Meidling by emergency doctor’s helicopter.

The scene of the accident was the Griesfeld station. According to the police, the Tyrolean had entered the protective path in the stop while a train was in the driveway. The woman was knocked down in spite of an immediately initiated braking.

According to the Mödling district fire brigade command, the 39-year-old came to lie in the track bed under the locomotive. Because the woman was not trapped, she was quickly freed from her predicament by moving the train set.
