Helicopter mission – hikers rescued from an alpine emergency

A hiker got into an alpine emergency on Saturday in the Pribitz area, northeast of the Grüner See (Bruck an der Mur district) at an altitude of 1100 meters in steep terrain. With an emergency call, he was able to inform the emergency services himself and be flown into the day unharmed.

Immediately after the alarm was raised, the mountain rescuers from the Tragöß Mountain Rescue Service climbed up to the hiker in the steep Schrofengeläde. At the same time, the police helicopter “Libelle Steiermark” started in Graz. The hiker who had gotten into trouble was able to be found by providing precise coordinates and subsequent call contact. The man was finally rescued and flown unharmed to the valley by means of dew rescue by the police helicopter “Libelle Steiermark”.
