The US publisher Microsoft has a few exclusive games that justify the purchase of an Xbox Series X/S for some fans, but there are signs of a more open publishing policy in the future.
The sci-fi title Starfield, which was only released in 2023, will also be released for competing platforms such as Sony’s PS5, reports the Xbox magazine Xboxera in an exclusive report with reference to insider information.
At first there were only rumors about possible PlayStation releases of Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves, but now a very prominent title is on the horizon. Bethesda created a lot of hype about Starfield before its release and then celebrated the largest game launch in the company’s history, with at least six million players in the first week.
According to the sources, Microsoft only wants to release Starfield after the release of the first expansion “Shattered Space”, which is scheduled to appear later sometime in 2024.
