Although not as popular as other productions of Sony Interactive Entertainment, helldivers is one of the names that we have often seen cited and supported by its publisher since its release in 2015. playstationbecause it was decided to order a sequel that we discover this week on the occasion of the Playstation Showcase.
She is simply called Helldivers 2 and will no longer take the form of a dual stick shooter in sight top-down, but rather that of a cooperative third-person shooter where we will have to face hordes of aliens. Up to 4 friends will be able to team up to survive against too many opponents, using a multitude of offensive weapons and skills.

You play as elite soldiers whose mission is to spread peace, freedom and controlled democracy using the most formidable and explosive tools in the galaxy. Team up with up to four friends to assault the alien scourge that threatens the safety of your world, Super-Earth.
The Helldivers must act as galactic peacekeepers in this galactic war and protect their planet, spread democracy and wipe out hostile forces.
Powerful weapons for outnumbered opponents
We don’t send our Helldivers to a planet without proper support, but how and when you call on them is up to you. Not only will you have overpowered main weapons and customizable arsenals, but you can also use in-game Stratagems.
In the heat of battle, your squad must wipe out an entire group of terminids in one go? You can ask an Eagle to drop a 500 kg bomb that will only leave insect corpses in its wake. Do you need to set up a defensive perimeter? You can call on the Landmine Deployer to cover the battlefield with devastating mines.
A multitude of offensive or defensive tools are available to players, letting them choose how to face each enemy wave. As you complete missions, you will be able to upgrade your ship and use an ever more impressive arsenal. To give your team the edge, you’ll be spoiled for choice, from shield generators to turrets to massive airstrikes.
You will have support!
They say everything is better with friends. Especially when it comes to wreaking havoc on the enemies of freedom. At Arrowhead, we love co-op games. That’s why we set out to give Helldivers 2 the best cooperative gameplay to date. Collaboration is essential: the teams will pool their arsenal, together develop a strategy to approach each mission and achieve their objectives together.
But keep in mind that friendly fire is always on, which adds to the challenge and encourages collaboration. Communicate with your teammates to make sure your bullets and mines eliminate your real opponents. Remember that you will return home a hero, dead or alive.
