You'd think that giving births has become a habit for Aubrie Moates – after all, the Alabama photographer makes her living with it. At least once a week, she captures with her camera what can hardly be put into words: the moment of the birth and the feelings of the parents-to-be.
And yet there are always experiences that overwhelm Aubrie despite all the routine. For the US blog BabyCenter, she selected 18 pictures from last year that stuck in her mind – and tells the stories about them:
