A first in the history of star Academy. The announcement was made on Tuesday evening, December 12 at the Château de Dammarie-les-Lys, during the opening of the Advent calendar for young singers. The entire promotion was invited to sing at the Christmas tree children, which was held in the president’s residence this Wednesday, December 13. Clara’s reading of the presidential invitations sparked euphoria among the candidates : “Wow”, “It’s so good”, “I am shocked”, “We’re going to see Macron and Brigitte!”they reacted in unison.
The youngest of the program, Lénie also expressed her enthusiasm in the castle confessional: “I don’t realize it at all, I think I’ll realize it when I get there. It’s going to be so cool though, I can’t wait. I hope to be able to meet the president.“ confided the young woman. She ended up appealing to the head of state: “Hello Emmanuel!”.

The tradition of the Élysée tree
It is a tradition that dates back to the end of the 19th century. The Élysée Christmas tree is a traditional republican festive event established in 1889 under the presidency of Sadi Carnot, at the initiative of his wife Cécile Carnot, sensitive to the fate of deprived children. The ceremony has taken place every year since then (with the exception of years of Occupation), the penultimate Wednesday afternoon before Christmas Day. The Élysée tree is an opportunity to bring together the children of palace staff, others who have written directly to the President of the Republic, but also toddlers from associations such as Adepape, Ela, Princess Margot and Women Safe & Children. What represents each year several hundred young guests. Parents are usually also invited to this party. As the president is not present this year, it was Brigitte Macron who gave a gift to the children after the concert by the students of the star Academy.
