Apple builds spatial computers and Diablo 4 has been captivating fans for 10,000 years and it’s only been available for a few days. How is that possible? Enlightenment follows!

Hardly any other tech company polarizes with its products as much as Apple. While some would give their last shirts for iPhone, iPad and Mac, others avoid the devices from Cupertino like the devil avoids holy water. No matter which camp you belong to, one thing is clear. Between 2001 and 2010, Apple created groundbreaking products with the iPod, iPhone and iPad that have permanently changed our leisure and professional lives.

Since then, apart from constant new editions of the successful products, little has happened – one could say heretical. Most recently, Apple ventured into a new market in 2014 with the Apple Watch. Now Tim Cook and company seem to have caught the pioneering spirit again. At WWDC this week we got to see an all-new Apple product: the Vision Pro. Apple’s first spatial computer.

That sounds pretty pompous, to put it succinctly, it is mixed reality glasses that can best be compared to Microsoft’s HoloLens or the Meta Quest. In my opinion, it even looks similar to this cheap Pico headset.

What can you do with the Apple Vision Pro? Pretty much everything: look at photos, record videos, make video calls, work, play and much more. Micha has summarized the details for you here.

We find the “EyeSight” feature particularly interesting. This is intended to project a realistic image of your eyes onto the glasses. This should make conversations with other people while wearing the headset look more natural. An absolute killer feature!

Just imagine, instead of listening to Grandma Erna’s stories of illness for hours at Christmas, you simply put on your glasses and watch a movie, while the Vision Pro via Eye Sight pretends to look attentively at Grandma Erna. And if she asks why you’re wearing the glasses, just say you’re recording the beautiful family gathering in 3D so you can relive that amazing moment over and over again on the Apple Vision Pro. Family peace is already secured!

It goes without saying that Apple is charging a handsome price for such a “life-saving gadget”. Vision Pro will cost $3,499 when it launches in the US in 2024. It is not yet clear whether and when the headset will also be available in this country. We hope before Christmas 2024!

On the other hand, the other WWDC innovations from Apple will be available as early as next Tuesday (June 13). Unfortunately, the MacBook Air 15, Mac Pro and Mac Studio are not bargains either! Apple is distributing major software updates for many products free of charge in the fall:

The devil must have gotten into you

Diablo 4 shows that you don’t need a mixed reality headset to forget the world around you! The latest part of the action role-playing game has been available for a few days and fans worldwide have already spent more than 10,000 years playing it.

Players around the world have played Diablo 4 for over 10,000 years.
