Aldi has a gadget that gives every cell phone a 60x zoom. And on the moon, Apollo astronauts stumble and stumble. Sorry for the confusion – unfortunately today is not Friday, but Thursday. (Unless you don’t read this issue as an email. but in article form. Then maybe it’s already 2023?). This issue of Hallo Netzwelt is exceptionally published earlier. For organizational reasons, because I’m going on vacation tomorrow morning and it’s so hard to type when the car is full. I’ve tried it, it was weird.

But although it’s only Thursday, the editors have already collected so many exciting topics for you that it would easily be enough for several weeks. So open your mouth, close your nose – let’s dive into the news paradise.

Aldi-Gadget also turns old smartphones into zoom machines

This spotting scope set from Bresser, which is currently available in the Aldi online shop, offers 60x optical magnification. We usually detail such offers in our bargain newsletter.

60x optical zoom on any cell phone: this Aldi gadget makes it possible

Aldi is currently selling the Bresser Spolux 20-60×80 spotting scope set for 279 euros, which is 150 euros below the recommended retail price. The telescope is sold exclusively by the manufacturer himself and by the discounter. It costs 429 euros in the Bresser online shop.

€279.00 instead of €429.00

NETZWELT may receive a commission from the retailer for links on this site. More info.

But I also found this part interesting for Hallo Netzwelt. After the night vision device (also from Bresser, also available from Aldi), this is the second noteworthy outdoor gadget at the discounter. The observation telescope comes with a tripod and smartphone holder, and woe betide you film me with it while I’m swimming on vacation. you rascal!

Astronauts who trip and fall: “Apollo Mission Outtakes”

This week, a remarkable clip from NASA made the rounds on the web. Strictly speaking, the recordings are very old, as they date from the 1960s and 1970s. What looks like a clumsy fake is actually real.

There it lays you down: moon walks are anything but harmless. This is shown by NASA images from the 1970s.

If you only have Neil Armstrong (“One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind”) in mind as he walks majestically on the moon, you should definitely watch the short clip. You can see astronauts who have enormous difficulties with their balance, who constantly lie on their noses, like Netzweltler after the tenth keynote in a row. It was by no means harmless, but it went well again.

Ready in four hours: E-car charging station with solar roof

Your own charging point in the garden, which generates electricity solely from sunlight – that’s it. The dream is getting closer, because the US company Paired Power has presented such a station with the PairTree. Best of all, the complete installation should only take four hours.

The roof consists of PV modules, which, under good conditions, should generate electricity for an electric car with a range of 120 kilometers. Most commuters don’t drive much further anyway. Check out the system here.

Those were other top stories of the week

Pagani Ultra: A fascinating analogue hypercar

Every cheering decade there is a new sports car from Pagani. electric motor? touch screens? You will look in vain for such modern stuff in the current new product, the Pagani Ultra. The cockpit of the hypercar is refreshingly analogue. The many toggle switches and the spectacular switching gate evoke steampunk associations.

You – and your wallet – decide whether a car with a V12 engine, manual transmission and 864 hp is still up-to-date or not. You would have to shell out around 2.5 million euros for the Ultra if it weren’t already sold out shortly after the presentation.

The flat joke of the week

Friends of the network world, next week the team will take over this newsletter and will publish it at the usual time on Friday. In the meantime, I’ll get away for a few days and go on a Flachwitz safari. The quota is slowly but surely used up. Bye!

What do you call a pet without hair?

clap!

There are even more flat jokes at this point on Netzwelt.

A lot of effort goes into this. We look forward to a recommendation!
